Every autumn in Uji, Kyoto, a centuries-old tea tradition is celebrated - 壺切り Tsubokiri, the opening of tea jars that have been sealed since spring. After harvest, the finest sencha leaves are carefully stored in clay jars and allowed to rest through the summer, developing depth, balance, and refined aroma.
Tsubokiri Sencha Gold represents the pinnacle of this tradition. With its fresh yet matured character, this seasonal sencha offers a smooth umami, a gentle sweetness, and a clear, elegant finish that reflects the essence of autumn tea in Japan.
Tsubokiri sencha is available until November or while supplies last.
